Option 1. In the app
Open W’sup, go to your profile, tap “Delete account”, and confirm. Your account is removed at once and your data is erased within 30 days.
Option 2. Without the app
Write to founders@heywsup.life from the email address you signed in with, with the subject “Delete my W’sup account”. We confirm it with you and finish within 30 days. If you joined through X, tell us your X handle too.
What we delete
- your profile: name, age, gender, work, area, username, and picture
- your plans, matches, answers, ratings, and chats
- your notification tokens and your notification list
- your invite code
- your sign-in with us
What we keep, and why
- A small safety record for up to 24 months: reports you made or that were made about you, any messages attached to a report, and blocks. This stops people who harm others from starting again.
- Anything the law requires us to keep, for as long as it says.
Other people’s copies of messages you sent are removed along with the chat. More on how we handle data is in our privacy page.
